How to Quickly Style Natural Hair

Natural hair styling doesn't have to be time consuming. While browsing for hairstyles, I can sometimes end up on half hour long tutorials involving an array of products and  tools I don't own. In the words of a notoriously wise woman "Ain't body got time for that". Realistically on mornings I am short on time and do not have eternity to spend styling my hair. Here are four hairstyles that require little manipulation yet still achieve a beautiful end result.

Braided Crown

Part hair down the middle or to the side, braid crown into french braid, tie hair into low ponytail with a hair elastic. (…more)

 High Bun

Spritz only your roots with water, apply gel to roots and brush them down. Assemble all your hair into a high ponytail, secure with an elastic. Gently tease your ponytail with a comb. Grab another hair elastic and tie teased hair into a bun. You can use a sock bun for a more sophisticated bun.

Head Wrap

Wake up with messy hair, protect it under a head wrap, add vibrant lipstick to distract from the messy hair.

Here's a cool head wrap tying video. She has straight hair however the tying method is the same.
Accessories
Add accessories such as headbands, flowers or scarfs to spruce up your second (or fourth) day curls.
