Summer Skin Care
One of my many fears in the summer time is having my makeup up melt off my face. Some of the other fears include driving over the abundant rabbits in my neighbourhood, armpit sweat, shortage of watermelon, etc. . My makeup summer routine is very simple : no foundation, lots of bronzer and a good facial moisturizer with a strong Spf. The summer heat makes me lethargic so my one minute make up application is ideal. I add some mascara and a finish with lip balm and voilà, I'm already done and can now enjoy all the time I've saved to go eat some watermelon.

Girl with the pearl earring
pearl earrings are a classic accessory but they can make you look jaunty. now i don't know about you but they have stopped carding me at the LCBO so i don't need to add more years to my age. the mise en dior earrings rihanna is wearing above are a cool accessory but they still give an edge to her outfit. you can be the girl with the pearl earring who also has a badass tattoo and who always gets carded at the LCBO because she looks eighteen. here are similar and way more affordable pearl eating options.
Style Icon : Rachel Bilson
if i could raid inside someone's closet, other than my sister's, it would be rachel bilson's. i love her ability to take simple pieces and create elegant outfits - it's very cotton-candy-chic. she also recycles a lot of her clothes à la Princess Kate and has an abundance of Chanel bags i wouldn't mind borrowing.
Hair Transition
i used to dislike people who incessantly talked about their hair. it's just protein that grows on your head i would say, but ever since i decided to stop relaxing my hair and grow it natural (i'm rolling my eyes at myself) i've been discussing my hair more frequently with others. whether it's asking for product recommendations or reading the various curly/kinky/afro hair blogs, hair has become for me a more common topic of conversation. instead of cutting my relaxed ends completely and starting off with a
short afro, i decided to grow out my natural hair while regularly trimming the ends of my hair. here's what i found out so far:

Maya Angelou
when people pass away, i prefer to remember their greatness, how they changed our lives and how they made us better people through our daily interactions or by simply reading their stories. in this way, they never truly leave us. so good luck on your next journey, Dr. Angelou.
Summer Nail Polish
i love two colours when it comes to nail polish: black and pink. but this summer, I will try to experiment with the variety of colours available between these two shades. nail polish is a fun yet simple way to add colour to your outfit. here are some shades i will try to get out of my boring pink and black obsession.
Graduation shoes
graduation is such an important day. after four (or five or six) years of hard work you finally get to walk across that stage and hold that expensive piece of paper. but before you get there, you need the right shoes. i scanned my favourite store and second home zara for some chic graduation shoes for your parents big day.

let's talk about hair baby
specifically curly hair. long story short, i used to have kinky and unruly hair that would take hours to straighten until i chemically straightened my hair with a relaxer and it became more manageable (however still not straight). now several years later, after seeing my sister and cousins growing their hair natural i decided to do the same. relaxers are costly and irritate my scalp to the point of tears. let's see how long i last but for now, some hair inspiration.
